Like most great companies, Keith Bontrager started engineering and producing bicycle components in a garage in Santa Cruz, California. In 1984, Keith cut two 700c Mavic road rims and joined them together to create the first lightweight mountain bike rims to hit the market.
Today, Bontrager is the major manufacturer of Trek’s accessory and component line. Producing everything from jackets and bibs to ultralight disc wheels Bontrager continues their legacy for innovation.
